I Swear You Will Be Fine

Dear Josh,

I thought there were not many signs in London because you didn’t like it here. Thank you for listening to me and sending me more signs! I will take it that you now like London.

I had been asking you to show me a special sign for several months. Maybe as early as February this year. I didn’t tell anyone except Shalini I think. I was looking for a “purple hedgehog”. Of course not a real one. Like a picture, or cartoon or toy. But I never found it.

On the weekend in Manchester, I was looking on Amazon for hedgehog related things. And middle A was asking me why hedgehogs. So I was explaining it to him. I also told him we look for things in purple. And then he said, “you should look for a purple hedgehog!”. I told him I’d been looking for one for ages, but I still hadn’t found one. One second later, as I scrolled down the page, there it was. The gorgeous little purple hedgehog. I’ve ordered one to take home. So thank you!

And then, when I checked into my London hotel, the very lovely receptionist caught my attention. She didn’t even mention it, but I found out the next day that she had upgraded my room. Her name tag said “Shalini”.

And wait, it gets better.

The next morning, I had to go to reception again. And there was another lovely receptionist. In fact I was queueing up somewhere else, and this lovely lady saw me and asked me to move over to her table. And her name tag…..”Jessie”.

You never seem to stop amazing me. There was a bounce in my step the whole morning. Not sure if you’re telling me to look after your 2 young ladies more. Or that they are the ones looking after me.
