The One About a Poem

The life I imagined for you, my friend

was one filled with joy and laughter with no end.

Rooms that would light up when you enter

Lives changed when you speak even when there’s light banter.

The days i imagined for you, my friend

were ones that weren’t perfect, but there was time to spare.

To share in our joys, sorrows and dreams

But life had other plans, it seems.

The hours I imagined for you, my friend

Are cherished and remembered, even in sleep.

When words fail to bring even the slightest relief,

Wishing that life could be perfect for you was my greatest belief.
