    Day 263 – Voice Notes

    Ever since you left for Heaven, I’ve been searching beyond the depths of my phone for pieces of you. That includes photos, videos, and… voice notes! You and I are quite the talkers, as evidenced in many of my posts, and we were lucky enough to have someone who doesn’t get tired of listening to us speak (we hope) – Lynn. Throughout our relationship – actually no, even before our relationship began – we’ve been sending her voice notes of funny instances we experienced, ridiculous questions we just HAD to ask her in that instant, and many more. Most of the voice notes we’ve sent her are totally unserious. In January, I became a little more tech savvy and figured out how to extract all the voice notes you’ve sent me, we’ve sent Lynn and some of your other friends, and created a private Spotify podcast where I can listen to our voice notes on the go. Unfortunately, these notes are very, very private, so only your mum, Jess, Lynn, and I have access to them. I would love to share it with the world, but I sincerely believe that you will not enjoy that.

    But, there are a few that are my absolute favorite and I just had to share them. To our readers, please note that this is entirely embarrassing for me too… so please hold your judgement and we hope you get some laughs from these. A heads up: we do not act our age and our sense of humor is… special.

    Here are 14 voice notes (and contexts) I think Josh wouldn’t mind me sharing (keyword is: I think):

    I know I said I’d provide context… but I can’t explain this… Just laugh with us!
    Um… I’m not sure there’s context for this too. Josh likes doing this. Lynn has many of these voice notes where he just “screams” her name like that.
    This is my favorite favorite favorite. We made a lot of toilet jokes and this is the voice note that captures our childlike humor. I’m deeply embarrassed to share this, but I couldn’t not share! For more context, Josh and I called farts “toodles” and poops “doo doo”. It’s embarrassing to share this with the world, but I’m definitely not embarrassed of the jokes we made.
    Serious Josh incoming! Quite a few of our voice notes are Statistics-related because he is just the best at Stats. This is an example of him explaining talking Stats!
    Lynn makes great jokes!
    We enjoy having discussions like that with a tinge of humor. It was also not Lynn’s birthday.
    Again, Lynn makes fantastic jokes! We were getting wet in the rain while walking home after our dinner date.
    This was just sweet to listen to. I miss saying “good night” to Lynn like that.
    I can’t provide context for this either… But enjoy our laughter!
    Reporting to Lynn “our” thoughts on the Studio Ghibli exhibition (because we share all our thoughts with her) while Joshua was just parroting everything I said. I also now realize I mispronounced “ghibli” here… Josh will never let me forget this – we were “arguing” about the pronunciation of “ghibli”!
    Just a voice note of Josh saying he enjoys talking about Stats. It is quite insane to us that he really enjoys Stats… Now I’m finding I quite like it too because it reminds me of him.

    Joshua making animated voices! “It’s okay, Lynnda!” Her name is also not Lynnda.
    This is just funny… Josh would not like that this is out for everyone to hear, but oops!

    These voice notes brighten my day every time I listen to them. It’s like I’m being transported back to the time we’d record these little notes for Lynn. There are another 100 voice notes that Josh has sent me… maybe I’ll do a part two! We’ll see.

    I hope you enjoyed listening to them again, Josh. Sorry if any of these were embarrassing… at least we are embarrassed together!

      i have probably embarrassed myself while replying to these voice notes IN PUBLIC but they are so fun – you both are so fun , and yes I’d never be sick of listening to you both.
