I Swear You Will Be Fine

Dear Josh,

The busy weekend ended with the week starting a little low, as expected. The house is quiet again, especially with Tun also not around.

As I finished work and came home, I already started to feel the lows. Jess was busy on a call. I was thinking how the house felt so lonely, and was also thinking how much worse it would be if Jess wasn’t here too.

I fed the dogs and took them for a walk. As I was walking, I asked you for something. Within a second, I spotted multiple lights flickering. Superb!!!

Later in the night, Jess and I went out for a quick bite at GYG. As I was eating, I suddenly went, “Oh my God” in complete shock. Jess was alarmed and turned around to where I was looking.

There was a young man, around your height, hair similar to yours, similar ethnicity and complexion. Most importantly, he was dressed in EXACTLY the same outfit you were wearing on multiple occasions- your various university presentations, the photo shoot for Jess’s graduation, and sadly, the last outfit you ever wore.

I felt like my heart dropped a few feet. The resemblance was uncanny. He was so, so much like you. I had trouble breathing. Jess thought so too.

After he ordered his food, he happened to seat himself just behind me. So Jess had direct vision to him. I asked her if she wanted to move, but she declined. After a few minutes though, the tears began to fall. It was amazing, but also, so, so, so painful to see. Even the way he was working on his laptop was identical to the way you did.

We later wondered if he was a lawyer, because he was dressed in a black suit. But he looked a little too young. Maybe he too had a presentation at University.

I usually like to see people who look like you. But this one was really hard. It was so similar. He must have been wondering why these 2 ladies were constantly staring at him….

I don’t know if you sent him to us, knowing we were already quite low. While it was hard, I will take it. We will take whatever we can that will give us just a tiny bit of you.
