I Swear You Will Be Fine

Dear Josh,

Jess and I have watched the new “Michael” movie twice now. You would have absolutely loved it. I think Jess is possibly planning to watch it for a third time. It was really, really good. This time we watched it with Shalini too (it was her second time as well!)

MJ songs have been going on non-stop in the car. We have a plan to buy a MJ vinyl sometime soon. Maybe for your birthday. We are still in discussions about what album it should be.

Everyone in our close family and friends circle know how much you loved dancing to MJ when you were little. Any party would have you dancing in the middle of the dance floor, showing off your moves. I remember you hopping on top of the coffee table in Mama’s house dancing away. Anytime we had a barbeque party at our condo, you would be waiting for the MJ songs to come on. You were such a party person when you were little. I wish I had videos of these. At least we have a few pictures which I know I’ve shared before, but will share again.

Remember when we went to watch “This is it” shortly after MJ passed? You loved it! And at the end of the movie, everyone in the cinema stood up and clapped for ages, including you.

I was wondering to myself if you even did some of the more controversial MJ moves. I couldn’t quite remember. Lucky for me, Jess remembers. Apparently every time you did one of those moves, Ammamma would try to stop you, understandably. I’m surprised I didn’t stop you, or did I? Anyway, Jess would apparently step in and tell you to continue because “they were the moves”!

It is sometimes hard to believe what a happy child you were.

During the trailers before the movie, they showed the trailers to the new Spider Man movie. It was like another stab to the heart. It was just weeks before you passed that you proudly told me it would be released near your birthday. And you were so excited.

I hope you were watching the movie with us. I looked around for empty seats in the cinema and there were a few. So I really do hope you enjoyed the movie too.
