I Swear You Will Be Fine

Dear Josh,

I’m quite sure this is your doing again.

As you know, we’ve been lighting candles for you from the day after you passed. There is one always lit in Ammamma’s house and ours, and also in Jess’s and Shalini’s when they are home. Shalini introduced me to a new online shopping platform, where the candles are larger and also have a bigger range. I tried it out for the first time a few weeks ago and I liked them. So I made a slightly bigger order after that initial success.

The order came in a couple of days ago. I had a fun time opening all the packages, smelling all the different scents. There in the middle of all the packages, were 2 extra candles, ones I definitely didn’t order. They were smaller than the ones I ordered. What was more remarkable was that on the front of both candles was the word “Mum”! I squealed when I saw it. Shalini squealed even more! She also said she had been ordering from them for years and had never received a free gift. The icing on the cake was then looking at the 2 different scents on the 2 candles. One was “Iced Matcha” and the other was “Iced Coffee”. Iced Matcha is Shalini’s favourite drink and Iced Coffee is mine! I guess you are endorsing us in some way? Really made my day!

This week also had a number of iMessages on your phone to all of us. Another amazing feat you do! Earlier in the week was to Shalini, and then to me. Yesterday was to Jess and Patta. I was talking to Tun this morning and said I don’t understand why there was no message to Ammamma. And 30 minutes later when I went to your room, I saw the iMessage to Ammamma’s number. I guess you heard us, and sent it, at what looks like that exact minute.

There have also been flickering lights at almost every place Jess and I have had a meal at this week!
