Upon your mum’s recommendation, I started watching Criminal Minds. I’m usually terribly slow with watching shows or movies but this one has got me hooked! I’ve finished around six or seven episodes in three days – a new record for me.
It reminds me a lot of Mindhunter, a show we were very into. That was your recommendation. You had watched it already and wanted me to, so we rewatched it together. Criminal Minds is a lot like Mindhunter in that it mentions some of the profiles we studied in school. I remember us watching Mindhunter and excitedly discussing our thoughts. I assume that’s what we would have done with Criminal Minds too.
In episode one of Criminal Minds, they mention organized killers. We would have talked about that – the traits of one, the traits of disorganized killers, and what we would be (hypothetically, of course). We’d have discussed our hypotheses for why the killers killed. We’d have come up with our own profiles before the show reveals them. We’d have had so much to discuss. I thoroughly missed having someone to discuss shows with. It made watching them so much more fun.
I won’t elaborate on this, but this week has not been great. I got my thesis results back two days ago and I did okay. My grades, converted to every international standard I’m interested in, make me eligible for most schools on the planet. My parents didn’t react at all though. They must have gotten used to me doing well. I was frankly a little disappointed – could have done better. I received more happiness from your family than mine. Well, my bad for hoping.
I can’t wait to see you again. I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, and I’ll miss you more than you can imagine.
