Dear Josh,
Tun was complaining the other day about someone throwing things down from their apartment. She was walking the dogs and nearly got splattered with a bag full of food waste. You would have been so annoyed. I was going to report it to management, but it hasn’t happened since. So we will wait and see.
It reminded me of an event when you were very little. Do you remember how you would go over to one of our neighbours’ apartments in the next block? They had 3 kids. The eldest girl was Jess’s age and the boy was your age. The 2 of you would spend a lot of time together.
There was this one occasion when I had left you at their place for the afternoon. Later that evening, I got a call from their mother. She said she needed to talk to me about something. So we met up. They used to live on the 4th or 6th floor I think. She looked quite anxious and cross when I saw her. Well, she said that she had walked into the bedroom where both of you were, and found both of you at the window, intermittently throwing things out the window. As she came closer, she saw you both throwing out your Ben 10 toys. I still don’t know what the motive was. I don’t think it was to hit or hurt anyone.
When I confronted you, you were quite upset. You promised to never do it again, and I don’t think you did. Well at least I never caught you doing it. It was a funny story, and strange because your Ben 10 toys were so precious to you.
Even now, there is a small Ben 10 suitcase, filled to the brim with your Ben 10 toys. What am I supposed to do with them? Shalini and Jess will always say, “keep them, keep them all”. And that’s the plan. But literally every inch of the home is filled with your toys, autographs etc. At some point, it will come to me on what I should do. And if it doesn’t, that’s ok too.
I sometimes wonder if you come home and play with your toys. I hope you do, especially with the many more we have gotten you.
Love Mum
