I Swear You Will Be Fine

yesterday i was listening to my bestie’s podcast about how life is one big disappointment and they briefly spoke about grief while mentioning our pawdcast. that was incredibly sweet of her, but what was even sweeter and made me feel extremely touched was her mentioning again at the end of the episode that three wee pees is a podcast by three very interesting individuals. She did not hesitate to say it, and she did not second guess or thought anything more of it – she simply acknowledged you.

i felt like crying in the moment. she has no idea (i did thank her and told her i love her for it) what it means to hear it. that a simple shout-out to you in present tense could fill my whole space with so much gratitude. i think all of us had on numerous occasions questioned whether the people around us would think us mad for speaking to you and referring to you (verb – present continuous, not past continuous). but times like these, when our friends, especially those who know of you, but did not get to meet you, acknowledges you with such care and love, i know that your presence has inched into their lives in some way, and i am thankful for it.
